Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to help the city, so the first opportunity I got, I signed up to be a soldier and help keep order against evil and everything bad.

Why do I feel that way? When I was a kid, I was saved by a soldier from a bunch of terrible thugs. It left a lasting impression on me and now my life as a soldier for the city has been an absolute dream.

I had a really good relationship with my captain who taught me everything I needed to know. He always had my back. He was a golden Dragonborn named Taillig and though he seems rough at first, he’s got a heart of gold.

Somewhere along the way, I encountered something…out of this world. Something indescribable and terrifying; but powerful. It was a book that was confiscated from some upstart occult. Whenever I was left alone with it, I could hear the whispers of strange things and truths. I admit, it was dangerous but I was curious. I could feel it radiating with otherworldly power. My mind when into dark places and made equally dark excuses into why i couldn’t pass up the opportunity to become stronger and be that hero to save the next little girl that needed my help. No matter the cost.

I couldn’t stop reading. Ever single passage from that book became etched into my mind, and in turn erased my memories. The book became me, and I No longer knew who I was. Everything seems foreign to me, even those who were close to me where complete strangers.

So all that I knew now was the power of the book and whatever entity within it gave me power. I felt a powerful hole in me that needed filled and I knew that I would sacrifice anything to get that back.

My goal is to regain my memories and get my old life back, whatever that was.
