Harez’s Backstory

Half-Orc male (shadow magic) sorcerer

So basically this dude is a lawyer and works for a semi-prestigious law firm. He has always had a talent for finding information that helps his client, even to the point that his rivals would call him clairvoyant. Harez has a daughter from his ex-wife who can always seem to manipulate him since he always sees the best in people. His closest friend is a con man with a heart of gold, despite his despicable vocation he has always been a spiritual advisor of sorts for Harez.

What led Harez to his path today is when his daughter Feluzi persuaded him to represent her boyfriend in jail. Of course he relents and agrees to see him. Turns out I was a trap, the boyfriend kidnaps and then murders Harez.

But instead of straight up dying, he finds himself in the shadowfell. He wanders about for what seems like years, trying to find a way out. He encounters a Shadar-Kai deep within a dark wood, almost as if he has been searching for him this entire time. The Shadar-kai doesn’t speak, but instead leads him to a thin spot in the between worlds that leads him to his home world.

In a blink, he’s back. But being In the shadowfell has changed him. Your skin is ice cold and your heart beats every minute. You can also channel the weave through you, casting magic that you didn’t have before. A dark and shadowy magic.

Besides those physical changes, he also has a revelation about a ritual that summons a demon to the material plane. He knows not what to do but as a man of conviction, he cannot sit idly by as something as bad as a demon come forth and kill innocent people.
